The Trustees

The trustees' core responsibility is to manage the Rose Trust Charity, specifically the nine cottages located in Sparrow's Green, Wadhurst.

Their ongoing duties include holding meetings at least twice a year, keeping proper minutes and accounts, and managing the Charity's bank account.

Crucially, they are responsible for letting the cottages to tenants, as outlined in the trust deed, at rents they determine, which may be below the rack rent based on the tenant's means.

The trustees must keep the properties insured and in good repair and apply the net rents and profits for the benefit of the poor and deserving inhabitants of the Parish of Wadhurst.
